SVG Compressor
Shrink SVG markup without leaving your browser — the industry-standard SVGO optimizer (v4, the engine inside svgomg) runs here as vendored JavaScript, and every file gets an exact receipt: original size, optimized size, percent saved. Typical editor-exported SVGs lose 30–60%: comments, metadata, hidden elements and verbose numeric precision are dead weight. Three presets are honestly different — Safe pretty-prints and strips only junk (comments, metadata, scripts, doctype), Balanced runs full structural cleanup and keeps the viewBox, Extreme additionally strips the viewBox and rounds coordinates to 2 decimals for the smallest bytes — visually lossless in practice, though high-contrast antialiased edges can shift by a fraction of a pixel. Batch included.

FAQ
Which preset should I use?
Balanced for almost everything — it keeps the viewBox (required for responsive scaling) and still saves 30–60%. Use Safe when the file is already hand-tuned, Extreme when you'll visually verify the result before shipping.
Why did my SVG stop scaling after compression?
You ran Extreme, which strips the viewBox. Without it the SVG has a fixed pixel size. Re-run on Balanced — it never removes the viewBox.
Is it safe to serve the optimized SVG?
Yes — every preset strips script elements. Still, if an SVG came from someone else, eyeball the markup; that advice holds for any optimizer.
