Resize Image (400×400 Presets)

Need an exactly-400×400-pixel headshot for a form, marketplace or ID upload? Drop the photo and it's done — 400×400 is exactly 160,000 pixels, and the aspect-lock default fits your face inside without stretching, padding the rest with transparency. The preset family covers the usual form demands (300×300, 400×400, 600×600 US-visa style, 800×800) plus fully custom dimensions up to 8192px. Bilinear resampling keeps edges clean on the way down; batch mode turns a folder of photos into one zip.

FAQ

Why does my 400×400 output have empty space around the photo?

Aspect lock is on — it scales until the photo fits inside 400×400 and centers it, padding with transparency so the file passes "exactly 400×400" validators. Turn the lock off to stretch to exactly 400×400 both axes.

Is 400×400 enough for a passport photo?

It depends on the form. US visa photos are 600×600; many online forms ask for 400×400 or 300×300. We ship all four presets so you don't have to know which until the form tells you.

Will resizing make my photo sharper?

Downscaling averages noise away and usually looks cleaner; upscaling cannot add detail. For print, check DPI: 400×300 at 300 DPI prints at about 1.3×1 inches.
